With my reconditioned Nikon D3100 that was 12 years old at the time my stepmother gifted it to me, I won't be needing any SDUC tech any time with the tech I have this July 15th, 2022, but I'm looking way ahead into the future as I will never lose interest in photography & filming on any device, especially both my iPhone and a DSLR or mirrorless camera in places like gardens, towns, beaches and state parks & forests. I am already looking forward to the successor of Windows 11, which I'll count on being eight full years after it launched on Tues., Oct. 5, 2021.

    :)

Installed 4 TB disk, ended up with 2 TB disk and 1.6 TB unallocated.

I installed a Western Digital Black 4 TB disk with the NTSF file system with the New Simple Volume. It replaced a Western Digital Blue 2 TB drive as the G drive. Ended up with a 2 TB disk and 1.6 unallocated. Please tell me how to fix this. I really
    don't know what I'm doing

large 4 tb drive but windows only recognizes 2 TB

    Hello,

Support for hard drives larger than 2 TB requires several features in your computer.

    Please look at this article:

Windows support for hard disks that are larger than 2 TB -
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/258140...

It may be because your system is formatted as MBR, which means it can't recognise drives over 2tb properly. To overcome this, either use GPT or make two 2tb partitions on the 4tb hard drive.

Let me know if you have any questions

Discussion: Do you want a 3 TB OneDrive option if there is no perpetual Office 2023, 2024...: I sure do! Dropbox has long offered a 3 TB plan for all users, and it looks like iCloud and Google Drive might start in the next 48 full months April 15th, 2025 or sooner. I hope Microsoft offers all users a 3 TB OneDrive monthly, quarterly and/or annual plan this decade...

Discussion: How likely do you think it'll be Microsoft will offer a 2 TB personal OneDrive...: Yesterday, I added another year to my Office 365 Personal subscription, which will now auto-renew on March 9th, 2024.
