  1. Discussion: Do you want a 3 TB OneDrive option if there is no perpetual Office 2023, 2024...

I sure do! Dropbox has long offered a 3 TB plan for all users, and it looks like iCloud and Google Drive might start in the next 48 full months April 15th, 2025 or sooner. I hope Microsoft offers all users a 3 TB OneDrive monthly, quarterly and/or annual plan this decade bound 2021-2030 rather than 2020-2029. I’ll be 36 years old on 12/31/30.

    :)

  2. Discussion: How likely do you think it'll be Microsoft will offer a 2 TB personal OneDrive subscription option in 5 years? (March 10th, 2019)

Yesterday, I added another year to my Office 365 Personal subscription, which will now auto-renew on March 9th, 2024. I'll probably pay another $70 long before that date to extend it to 2025, though. Office 365 Personal with 1 TB of OneDrive storage for
me is undoubtedly a great deal for me, but I think by March 9th, 2024, I'll need more than 1,054 GB of storage space on my OneDrive as I explore the entire east coast of the United States, especially the D.C. area. I do a lot of photographing and 4K video
recording of just anywhere I find beautiful, along with writing Word documents all about cities and towns. Several times, I've posted suggestions in the Windows 10 Feedback Hub app encouraging Microsoft to offer a 2 TB personal OneDrive plan to compete with
iCloud, Google Drive, and Dropbox. If you'd like to upvote and/or comment on the feedback I've just left when writing this:

  3. Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

And for the discontinued it states.

I'm thinking option one is going to be my only option. I'm fine with that as long as I can get Outlook to work with my ISP's pop3 e-mail. Last time I tried that with the new 2016 install I could not get it to work, no way no how. All the same settings that work with the ISO install?

EDIT: I should mention, for me as far as I know, neither of these options are a subscription. They use two different keys but they are perpetual one time activation licenses. I only ran the new download briefly though, as I could not get outlook to work. I bailed and went back to what works.
