Windows 10: Discussion: How do you believe the File Explorer in Windows 10 can work better with Canon...

I have long believed this is a significant area of improvement Microsoft can make to Windows ever since I started using it a lot early last decade on XP. I'll be glad about just any improvement to the File Explorer. The wait is almost finally over for tabs in the File Explorer, which I'm sure will be very useful to a lot of Windows 10 users around the world. The better Windows 10 works with my other devices like my iPhone and my cameras, the happier I am daily!

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

File Explorer Search Not Working


I am trying to search in File Explorer (Windows Explorer, My Computer) and it will not find anything. I can copy text from a name in the list and paste it in the search box and it still finds nothing. I have looked at the suggestions that have been posted and nothing I find that is relative to this works. Anyone have any suggestions? I am running Win 10 Pro on an I3 coustom desktop computer.

• What is the OS Build of your Windows 10? To determine the build of Windows 10, kindly perform these instructions:
  • Click the Windows logo (Start button).
  • Click the gear icon (Settings).
  • Select System.
  • On the left pane, choose About.
• Do you have a folder on your Desktop page? If so, can you still access it?
• Can you open File Explorer when accessing it through the Start Menu? File Explorer can be found inside the
  Windows System folder in the Start Menu.
• Does the issue also occur when opening File Explorer using the Run window? You can do this by following these steps:
  • Right-click the Windows logo (Start button), and then click Run.
  • In the Run text box, type explorer.exe.
