Windows 10: Discussion: How likely is it 512 GB SSD laptops, including Macs, will become more common...

As I’m eagerly awaiting to install Microsoft Edge 87.0 Stable on my Dell Inspiron 7558, I need a laptop with at least a 512 GB SSD since a $379.99 laptop with a 256 GB SSD isn’t close to enough for my Apple Music formerly iTunes library, and laptops with 500 GB hard disk drives like my current one has are becoming less common each day. A laptop with a 1 TB HDD will not work for me due to my heavy use of my OneDrive and iCloud. I also use Box and Dropbox for cloud storage. If just over 24 months after today is too hard for most anyone to predict this, I’ll ask again next year for sure!

Question: As of October 14th, 2020, my iTunes music library is 185.15 GB. Should that leave enough space for a new 256 GB SSD Windows laptop to run smoothly?

Got you. I'll stick with my Dell Inspiron 7558 for now. Windows laptops with 500 GB hard disk drives aren't common in Oct. of 2020 like they were when I got it from dell.com in March of 2016. I'll wait for 512 GB SSD Windows laptops to be at any physical
BJ's Wholesale Club. Alternatively, I can get a 512 GB SSD MacBook Pro on top of my Dell Inspiron 7558. Lots of family members and close friends love their Apple products. I've always loved both Microsoft and Apple since I was a kid.

My WIN 10 Insider 15058 accepted the 15.2.0.1020 Driver after several attempts. Much, much faster now !!

 

Transfer OS from 512 to 1tb SSD

I'm in the process of building a new rig. I would like to transfer the OS from my current 512 SSD to a 1tb SSD. My Os is already linked to my MS account and I printed out the steps about using the troubleshooter after a significant hardware change. The Question is: Can I clone the 512 to the 1tb or does it require a clean install? OS is Win 10 Pro.
