Windows 10: Disk 100... again. Please help me

I had this problem before after an update. Microsoft support remote accessed and refreshed the system on my dads laptop with a .iso file. My laptop never got the reflash, but a new update fixed it. Now I called customer service and cant talk to someone without paying. This 100% disk usage is going to fry my harddrive. Microsoft broke my computer and now I have to PAY to tall to someone about it?

I have tried all the old tricks, disable superfetch, windows search, unchecked the tips option in settings, I have defragged, run check disk, no problems there, etc. The only one that did anything was unchecking the tips option. Now instead of 99-100 it will occasionally drop to 88 and then back to 100.

Top of processes sorted by diak usage? Service Host: SysMain. Again.

What do I do? I am at the end of my rope with this. EVERY TIME I update, there is a new problem. I have had bad updates even blue screen my computer and mess up my registry and had to fix it myself. It's fairly new, a 2017 Acer.

Clean install, disk usage at 100%

I've seen that article. and I am in fact not running that driver. I followed the steps and it does not appear in the list.

 

100% disk usage

The most common cause of 100% disk usage appears to be Superfetch and Prefetch, but there are also other causes. You can try disabling both these features and see if it helps.
