Windows 10: Disk 3 has the same disk identifiers as one or more disks

Hi,

Yes, i have seen the other posts regarding this error.
No i have not cloned any disks.
The error started about 3 weeks ago.
I'm on windows 10 Version 10.0.19041 build 19041

As Disk 3 holds my media files each time the event occurs the media stream is cut-off. The disk appears to disconnect and then reconnect almost immediately and then i have to restart watching the media file.
So unlike others this issue is causing a distribution on my PC.

I can't see any issues.
Disk "Media" is Disk 3 and is an external Drives connected to the workstation via fast USB. The Drive letter have not been changed but i did unplug the drive and put them back to see if it would fixed the issue.
This drive contains a huge of media data and i don't want to wipe it.
There is also no reason to believe that a wipe will resolve the issue.
Can any one point me in the direction of a solution ?

Checking Disk Consistency

Ok i did as viper suggested, but it stops checking at stage 3. It is still saying the drive is dirty, and still needs to be checked. I did a defrag and a disk cleanup, and suggestions?

 

Disk management console view is not up-to-date

i dont know how to fix your disk management, but i can fix your partition problems...




open up Command Prompt with admin rights. (Right click, run as admin)


enter in
DISKPART
list disk

then find the Disk number for your Raid array... lets call it number 7 ( you can tell what disk is what by the total size)
type in

Select Disk 7
List Partition (will give you a list of all the partitions..)
Select Partition 1 (im assuming you only have 1 partition on Disk 7) repeat this step if you have more partitions.
ASSIGN


that should get the array up and running ready to use.

side question, have you tried restarting the PC?

@dalchina no but one disk did have a windows system install not sure what disk 3 is one of my disk in the docking station had a old ​windows install, that i erased and formatted to use as a backup drive, the other disk is just a backup drive period and none were ever clones at all. now they are both Samsung drives and the odd thing they both have same serial number, could that be it? not sure other wise what it could really be.

um none of them have the same disk identifier i went into cmd administrator did diskpart list disk followed by select disk did this for each one along with the UNIQUEID DISK on each one and there all different here is a screen shot um so what to do now??
