Windows 10: Disk check not working

I've been having issues with my computer today read blue screen of death. It started just today after I tried to install a game on steam. It's never done this before. So I've tried various things to try to fix the issue. I run the disk check and it says there's errors and needs to restart. So I let it restart and nothing. No prompt or anything. It still says there's an error and needs to restart. What can I do to fix this or is there an alternative way?

Checking Disk Consistency

Ok i did as viper suggested, but it stops checking at stage 3. It is still saying the drive is dirty, and still needs to be checked. I did a defrag and a disk cleanup, and suggestions?

I'm having the Disk Check issue again. However, this time, I can't use Startup Repair to fix it. Can you address this?

I suggest you to perform a Startup repair by following the steps below and check if it helps.

• In the Lock screen, press/hold the shift key and click on power icon>restart.
• Click on Troubleshoot>Advanced Options>Startup Repair and follow the prompts to start the Startup Repair.
