  1. Disk clean/Temporary files clean

Have just done a clean install of Windows 10, and am concerned about disk clean up options.Option 1: Disk cleanup driver selection screen shows in box, drive OSC. When I click ok, nothing happens. Or should I say, nothing appears to be happening. Check of Task manager, shows disc cleanup working 100%Option2: Similar scenario with Storage clean. Summary page appears, and when I click on temporary files, screen says it is scanning. Appears nothing is happening. Task manager says settings and or system running 100

    :)

  3. Disk Clean Up not deleting temporary files only.

    Hi John,

It is unusual that the temporary files would keep consuming the same amount of space even after performing disk clean up and manually deleting it.

Just to clarify, what is the amount of space consumed by these files?

I suggest you to try performing the same actions through safe mode and check again. Follow the steps provided in the help article below:

Get to safe mode and other startup settings in Windows 10

    Disk clean/Temporary files clean

Disk Clean Up not deleting temporary files only.

My OS is Win 1.0.10 Home Build 10586 x64. When I run Disk Clean Up and check the box next to Temporary Files just like the other file boxes are checked and click on clean file it appears to be working but when I reopen the Disk Clean Up all the files are
deleted except the Temporary Files and it still shows the same space being used. I have even tried running it with only the Temporary File box checked and it did not help.

I tried to use the Win Key +R and type in temp or %temp% or prefetch and it brought up the appropriate folders and I deleted them but again when I opened Disk Cleaner nothing showed deleted under the Temporary file and still the same space was showing.

Thanks In Advance for Your Help
