Windows 10: Disk Clean up tool

When I run the disk cleanup tool, it leaves over 5 GB of files in IE Temp files. CCleaner does not remove them either.

Temporary internet files will not delete

I just want to know why the Disk Clean-Up tool does not delete the temporary internet files?!!!!???

It is up to almost 4GB now. and running the Disk Clean-Up tool does not work!!!!!

This is on both of my computers....

Why can't Microsoft fix this???

Thanks for the replies but most all of these answers I am doing. The problem seems to be the padlock icon that insinuates that these Temporary Internet files are "locked" and cannot be removed! I am discouraged by Microsoft that someone from there has not
addressed this issue and posted an answer.

Try through Control panel - Internet options > browser history (delete)

Thanks Kyhi. Tried that 3 times. Didn't work. I now have 520 GB.

 

I would not worry about 520KB as most likely system type files that can not be deleted, by system
You where 5.09GB before > so BIG difference there

 

Try running disk clean with administrator privileges.

 

It was a typo. I should have said 520 GB.

 

Have you tried temp and %temp% in run?

UnCleaner is amazing, I run it every time after large disk cleaning, large file deletions, program uninstallations (even with Revo), in same cases it removes even a GB or more. Windows "abandons" some files after some time and UnCleaner catches them (or some of them) and cleans them.
