Windows 10: Disk Cleanup & Storage Settings Unable to Delete Old Device Driver Packages

Good Day, The Disk Cleanup & Storage Settings were unable to delete Old Device Driver Packages. I have already performed basic troubleshooting & fixes but still same result. Is there other methods that I can perform to remove Old Device Driver Packages?

Hi joysoder, to properly and safely delete any files not required by your system, run Disk Cleanup twice as explained below. Each time select everything in the list and delete them. Disk Cleanup will not suggest deleting anything that is not safe to delete

Open File Explorer

Click on your hard drive

On the Manage Tab, click Cleanup

Let Disk Cleanup do its initial scan

Select Everything in the list and choose Delete

Start Disk Cleanup again

Let Disk Cleanup do its initial scan

This time in the resulting dialog, click 'Cleanup System Files'

Let Disk Cleanup run another scan

Select Everything in the list and choose Delete

 

How do I delete an old driver?

I'm Rodrigo and I'll help you.

There is no need to unisntall old drivers, but if you want to delete the unused drivers you can do that on Disk Cleanup. On the Start Menu type Disk Cleanup and select "Run as administrator", select the C: driver and check the box "Device driver packages" > OK.

This will delete all old unused drivers.
