Windows 10: Disk cleanup won't open on Win 10

Disk Cleanup won't open on my Win 10 Version 22H2 OS Build 19045.3086. This problem persisted even after several Windows Updates.After I click on Disk Cleanup, I can see it listed on task manager, but the app fails to open.Moreover, while it's trying to open, it causes loss of focus on windows elements. For instance, if I am selecting an item from a dropdown menu, the menu closes itself before I can click on an item. The loss of focus ends when I go to Task Manager and I end the process 'Disk Space Cleanup for Windows'.I tried several solutions I found on the internet, but nothing seems to w

Hi joysoder, to properly and safely delete any files not required by your system, run Disk Cleanup twice as explained below. Each time select everything in the list and delete them. Disk Cleanup will not suggest deleting anything that is not safe to delete

Open File Explorer

Click on your hard drive

On the Manage Tab, click Cleanup

Let Disk Cleanup do its initial scan

Select Everything in the list and choose Delete

Start Disk Cleanup again

Let Disk Cleanup do its initial scan

This time in the resulting dialog, click 'Cleanup System Files'

Let Disk Cleanup run another scan

Select Everything in the list and choose Delete

Rest assured, it is totally safe to delete everything suggested by the Disk Cleanup Process, please tun the Disk Cleanup twice as explained below, please remember to untick your Downloads folder if you actually store files in that folder . . .
