Windows 10: Disk errors on 2011 Dell Inspiron N5040 running WIN10 / Machine overloaded by office 365...

Dear MS Community,I've got a 2011 Dell Inspiron N5040 Yes I am now trying to find a job to pay to replace it, but . . . A month or so it ground to a halt, and task manager seemed to show office 365 updates were killing the machine so I removed office 365.However it still had loads of disk errors and the boot sector seemed to be corrupt ?, and could not start up got repeatedly stuck repairing the disk.Found following post:https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/repairing-disk-errors-loop-cant-get-to-the-windows/b40818df-daff-44ea-8750-cbabff46126dThat had a great reply from

Cortana & Office 365 Integration

We are trying to integrate Cortana with our Office 365 subscription, but it never works. Here are the steps we have done:

• Turned on Cortona in the Office 365 Admin portal
• We are using Windows 10 1703 – connected Office 365 service to Cortana

Did the same on windows 10 mobile with no luck, Cortana says its connected to Office 365, but sees no data and we are getting zero errors

We went rough office 365 support first and tried all fo their suggestions, they kicked us over to Windows support which is currently closed.

We are on v1703 with all updates in place, it does not work on Windows 10 desktop or mobile

any ideas? I can give you all steps 365 support had us run through if that will be helpful

What model Inspiron AIO?
I looked at the high end Inspiron 27 7775 and there is a note that "no office (or office 365) license included".
Same with the high end Inspiron 24, 5477 model. "No office (or office 365) license included"

I suggest you to try the steps provided the link below to get to Windows Recovery Environment and check if you are able to get to Safe Mode with Networking.

Windows Startup Settings (including safe mode):

Try to update display and chipset drivers.

How to uninstall and re-install drivers.

• Press Windows Logo Key+X. Click On
  Device Manager.
• Then find the driver that you are trying to uninstall and right-click on it to
  Uninstall.
• Follow onscreen instructions to uninstall it.
• To re-install, either you can restart the system or install the driver from the manufacturer’s website (recommended as they will have updated drivers).

If the issue persists, then try to download the Windows 10 ISO and create a Media Creation tool and then perform Automatic Repair.

Once you have the installation media, follow the steps:

• Start your computer from the installation media. Insert the disk or USB stick and restart your computer. If you see a message asking you to “Press any key to boot from DVD,” do so. If you don’t see the message, you might need to
  change the boot order in your computer's BIOS settings so that it first starts from the disk or USB. When you see the 'Install Windows' page, tap or click 'Repair your computer' link to start the Windows Recovery Environment.
• In the Windows Recovery Environment, on the Choose an option screen, click 'Troubleshoot'.
• Click, Advanced Options and then click on 'Automatic Repair'.
• After this complete the repair and see if you are able to boot in to your computer.
