Windows 10: Disk errors

Okay so this happened 4 weeks ago. When my pc needed an update I decided to restart it and update it, and so I did. When I left it there to update, it went to a black screen saying "Repairing disk errors. This might take over an hour to complete" So I waited and waited and nothing happened I also took the power out and plugged it back in then it took me back to the black screen saying "Repairing disk errors". To this day I'm still waiting and at this point I don't know what to do.

3rd master hard disk error

Ugh, i just got that on my dads pc, he was ripping a dvd to his external hdd to play off the ps3, when we rebooted it he got a 3rd master hard disk error.

Anybody got any suggestions?

I reset the cmos for about 5 minutes thinking thats all i needed to do, but that didn't happen.

 

Disk management console view is not up-to-date

i dont know how to fix your disk management, but i can fix your partition problems...




open up Command Prompt with admin rights. (Right click, run as admin)


enter in
DISKPART
list disk

then find the Disk number for your Raid array... lets call it number 7 ( you can tell what disk is what by the total size)
type in

Select Disk 7
List Partition (will give you a list of all the partitions..)
Select Partition 1 (im assuming you only have 1 partition on Disk 7) repeat this step if you have more partitions.
ASSIGN


that should get the array up and running ready to use.
