Windows 10: Disk filling up until a reboot

Discus and support Disk filling up until a reboot in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; I have a VM running in ESXi with Windows Server 2019 running some application that writes data to drive Z not the system disk, NTFS, 500GB...     Disk filling up until a reboot


    I have a VM running in ESXi with Windows Server 2019 running some application that writes data to drive Z not the system disk, NTFS, 500GB capacity.When looking in disk properties I see the disk has 50GB free but when summing up the file sizes on the disk they sum to 407.5GB allocated 505.2 total size - some folders are compressed.. Because 407GB is allocated I should have about 90GB free but I only see 50GB. When I restart the server the disk space returns to normal and I have 90Gb free and it starts to shrink again.I though about VSS but running VSSADMIN LIST SHADOWSTORAGEsays that 0 byt

    Local Disk C filled up and red while not being filled actually.

    I had plenty of space in my Local Disk C folder, all of sudden the "apps and features" started showing 161GBs filled up space while it clearly is hardly 20GBs. It keeps filling up no matter how much I delete. Please suggest a solution.

    I tried emptying all temporary files etc. But it keeps showing it as red.

    Disk management console view is not up-to-date

    i dont know how to fix your disk management, but i can fix your partition problems...




    open up Command Prompt with admin rights. (Right click, run as admin)


    enter in
    DISKPART
    list disk

    then find the Disk number for your Raid array... lets call it number 7 ( you can tell what disk is what by the total size)
    type in

    Select Disk 7
    List Partition (will give you a list of all the partitions..)
    Select Partition 1 (im assuming you only have 1 partition on Disk 7) repeat this step if you have more partitions.
    ASSIGN


    that should get the array up and running ready to use.

    Local Disk filling up randomly

    Hi, I've noticed that my local disk (NVME SSD) is randomly filling up. It went from 140gb available to 115gb.
    This happened right after the latest Windows update. Any suggestions?
    I don't really use my SSD to store data or install programs.
