Windows 10: Disk Installation Time?

In August 2019 I purchased a refurbished laptop that came with a Windows backup disk. The laptop has since stopped working, but I'm building a new PC with a GPU on the way, so I wanted to know how long the install from the disk not including updates would take. My only reason for asking this is because the disk drive I'm planning on using is my friend's sister's, so I want to get it back to her as soon as possible. Please shed light if you can.

Steam does not install from disk?!?!

no you're doing steps 1 and 2 wrong. steam creates the directory, you stop steam and then you install the game from the disk to that directory.

also steam must be off, not in offline mode but off, aka no steam services in the task manager when you install the game.

 

diskpart doesn't show disk

Hey,

I am trying to install Win10 on a mac book air.

However the diskpart does not list the disk even after reformatting the partition as NTFS per suggestion.

read through this solution but cannot move to step 1 listed in the solution by Ivan as that disk doesn't see that partition it was just able to reformat.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
