Windows 10: Disk Space Cleanup for Windows causing lost focus on windows elements

I noticed that the process Disk Space Cleanup for Windows is causing lost of focus on windows elements. For example, if I am typing, the windows where I am typing looses focus and stops typing. If I am taking a snapshot with Snipping Tool, it cancels the snapshot if I am not quick enough in selecting the area to snapshot. If I am selecting an item from a dropdown menu, the menu closes itself before I can click on an item. The problem disappears when I go to Task Manager and I end the process Disk Space Cleanup for Windows. Any suggestion how to fix this, or at least how to disable Disk Space C

Disk space.

Could be the Windows Update Stores files, .old files, shadow copies, etc.

Try running Windows disk clean up with the "Clean up System Files" option.

Delete files using Disk Cleanup <-- Be sure to check out the section at the bottom "To clean up all files on the computer".

disk cleanup running randomly

I am running windows 8.1, the disk cleanup window for c keeps popping up, if i move the mouse towards it, it disappear. Is there something nasty on my machine causing this?

I have scanned with malwarebytes and cc cleaner but they find nothing.

Any ideas?
