Windows 10: Disk Space has not changed after deleting Cortana permanently

I have a similar problem to the people who uninstalled theirgames.I have very low disk space on refurbished Lenovo 110S, I do not run Itunes, photos or Messenger and have taken out several other apps.Cortana, is an app I have never used so this appeared to be holding on to a good deal of disk space; went through the uninstallation process suggested, which worked.When I went back to see how much space this should have freed up, there is no difference to before I uninstalled it. I went in as administrator, copy and pasted the instruction and it scrolled through perfectly at the last attempt; th

Taking into consideration that the free space is shrinking fast, it is possible that your system is creating restore points. To
delete restore points except for the recent one, simply follow the steps below:

• From the Cortana search box, type Disk Cleanup and click on the first result.
• Once the Disk Cleanup window appears, select the
  More Options tab.
• Under the System Restore and Shadow Copies column, click on the
  Clean up... button.

Once done with the steps, see if your disk space has expanded.

Low Disk Space error

Hi,

I suggest you to delete the unwanted applications or games installed on the device and also perform a Disk Cleanup.

In order to delete the games or applications, which has been downloaded from the Windows Store you need to right click on the game and select
Uninstall option from the Start menu.

If the games that you are downloaded are .exe or the applications which are not downloaded from the Windows Store, you may try deleting it from the Control panel.

To do so, please follow the below steps.

• Right Click on Start Menu.
• Open Control Panel.
• Click Programs.
• Click Programs and Features.
  
• Click on the programs that you would like to uninstall.

Deleted Windows.old, not enough disk space freed

1. Did you empty the recycle bin ? If not, empty it.
2. Delete the contents under: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download
   Those are downloaded Windows Updates files and already installed.
3. Open Admin command, copy and paste the line below then run:
   Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
   This should remove all the no longer used by component store. Will take a while to run.
