    Disk space lost after running pnputil /d


    To delete old drivers from

    C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore

    I used the command line:

    pnputil /d OEMxxx.inf


    This deleted 15GB of old drivers (mostly from NVIDIA) but Free Disk space on the C: drive did not increase

    Instead the available disk size appears to have been reduced


    Does anybody know how to find and recover the disk space?


    Tools like WindDirStat do not show the deleted files

    Disk Manager does not show any unused partitions

    I got lost after "Policies".I couldn't find Explorer.There's no low disk space checks.When I back click,there's no Advanced .I have an HP19 desktop with Windows 10 installed.Drive
    D is the recovery drive.

    Low Disk space on Local Disk D???

    I keep getting this message on my Dell Inspiron:

    "Windows Explorer: Low Disk Space...You are running out of disk space on Local Disk (DDisk space lost after running pnputil /d :). Click here to see if you can free space on this drive."

    But every time I click and check the storage space, it says there's nothing to clean. The system Storage data shows that there is a D disk with 450MB of space, and 403MB currently used. But there is no way to clear up space. Help.
