Windows 10: Disk Space on 'C' keeps losing by minutes & Hours Windows 11

Hi, i just restarted my pc after eliminating Temp files and i had 200 gb on disk space available.Before it was 300 gb available and 10 minutes later it was 100 gb can someome tell me what happening?I saw the same question before, and a dev said to install an app named TreeSize, i installed it and found out that "Fortnite" an Epic Games© game got me 100 gb from the desk i was just updating it for 1 gb but it was 100 gb!!!I want a answer asap...

Disk Space on 'C' keeps losing by minutes & Hours Windows 10

I have 500 GB SSD C Drive. It is losing space every minute. Since yesterday I have lost around 30 GB.

I have checked if:

- Temp Files are growing in size. That is not the case

- Restore point has only 10 GB maximum allowance.

- I have observed all the files & folders in Windows and none of them are growing in size.

- I have checked Logs, CBS folders and they are very small in size.

- I have also checked AppData as well. It is also not growing.

- I have disabled Windows update temporarily just in case.

- I am not downloading anything at all.

But the problem is still there.

Just to make it clear, my issue is not that I need to free more space but the existing free space is being filIed up every minute.

I have tried disconnecting internet to rule out Updates but still there is no stopping to the issue of losing the space.

I have observed Documents folder, Temp Files, Apps & Games & other storage folders but they are not growing in size.

Will appreciate help as this is a mystery as to where and what is taking up the space and why?

C disk losing space for no reason

Hi i have problem with my c disk i have ssd and space keeps filling slowly there is no virus

No hibernate or system restore i do cleans but it won't help i reinstalled windows 4 time and even changed ssd but problem is same pls help it keeps losing space for no reason

For cleaning i use clean master i have installed treesize but i cant find what takes space from my c disk pls help

 

C: drive progressively loses space

Hello,

My C: drive is progressively losing space the longer my computer is on. I am currently experiencing the worst example of it so far, which has prompted me to post this support request.

• Three hours ago, I turned my computer on. C: had 32GB of free space.
• Thirty minutes ago, I received a 'low disk space' warning. C: had been reduced to 0 bytes.
• I moved 3.6GB of personal files to an external drive. After checking in 'This PC', however, C: showed just 2.2GB of free space.
• At the time of writing, C: now has 1.3GB of space remaining. This will occasionally drop in increments of 50MB to 100MB. It will also sometimes stabilise for a short time before continuing to drop again.

The only programs I have used in the past three hours are Chrome, Firefox, Foxtel Go (a streaming application), and Media Player Classic. It does not seem to matter which applications I use - if I use any applications at all - for the space to continue disappearing. Malwarebytes has not discovered any threats, either, and nothing appears to be abnormal in Task Manager.

How can I figure out what is going on? Can anyone help, or suggest anything? This is incredibly frustrating and inconveniencing as you can imagine.
