Windows 10: Disk Space & Storage Troubles

This all started with the most recent Windows Update Cleanup not detecting 304 MB of files it was supposed to delete a month ago. This is the second time this has happened, but previously, it did eventually remove the files. My tablet is older, purchased based on what I could afford at the time, so it has less disk space than newer models/lines & to top it off, I work with massive files, so I have to be particularly mindful of storage. Its a Microsoft Surface Pro 7 with Windows 10. Now, suddenly there is something else taking up more space seemingly out of nowhere. I noticed it seemed to c

Storage Space stopped working but disks showing as healthy

1. Check the status of the drives: Use storage management software to check the status of the drives. If any of the drives are faulty, work with your vendor.
   
2. Update the storage and drive firmware if necessary: Ensure that the latest Windows Updates are installed on all nodes.
   
3. Run cluster validation and review the Storage Space Direct section: Ensure that the drives you use for the cache are reported correctly and have no errors.
