Windows 10: Diskpart assign command using script file not detecting UTF-8 paths

I am using diskpart command with script file (/s flag) and assigning a VHD file to a temporary directory which contains non-ACII characters, problem here is diskpart reports this directory as invalid however when I assign folder with DiskManagement GUI this works perfectly fine.

Diskpart script contains below commands:

Everything except last line works fine. Also, I've verified that of assign used with path containing only ASCII characters then script passes.

Would like to know if this is expected?? If not, how we can solve this issue or any command line alternative available?

NOTE: I am saving script file in UTF-8 format

 

Add a path to $PATH?

Yeah, I think you're right. I think the purpose of the echo command was to check if ~/bin was in the $PATH file. My problem is that I can't decipher the output and I don't know how to add ~/bin to the $PATH file.

Just for clarification, the snippet of instructions I gave is just a few steps in the installation process. Nothing is actually supposed to be installed with those steps.

diskpart

If you want to pre-configure the drive using Diskpart,, check the link. At the bottom of that page are links to scripts or steps you can use. The scripts can be modified and run as a script or just run the commands manually.

During an install, you should be able to use Shift+F10 on the second window to open the command prompt and run the commands.
