Windows 10: Diskpart not listing internal disk volumes from Windows 11 USB boot

I have a brand new laptop with Windows 11 Pro and am running Hyper-V server and trying to creat a fresh Windows 11 Hyper-V guest VM per: https://www.elevenforum.com/t/create-windows-11-virtual-hard-disk-vhdx-at-boot-to-native-boot.645/#post-15409However, when booting from the SD card that has the Windows 11 installation media, and pressing shift + F10 to get the command prompt, and then diskpart and then "list volume", the only volume that is displayed is the that of the SD card.Why are none of the volumes on the internal SSD being displayed?Is this a security issue...I.e. do I need to disable

Installing windows off of a USB stick

Step By Step from vista:
From admin cmd prompt

1. diskpart
1a. list disk
2. select disk 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

Copy Windows Vista's DVD ROM content to the Flash Drive

xcopy d:\*.* /s/e/f e:\ (d being your vista cd and e being your usb stick)

And that's it, boot off your usb disk

 

diskpart doesn't show disk

Hey,

I am trying to install Win10 on a mac book air.

However the diskpart does not list the disk even after reformatting the partition as NTFS per suggestion.

read through this solution but cannot move to step 1 listed in the solution by Ivan as that disk doesn't see that partition it was just able to reformat.

That makes a lot of sense with it not finding any Windows installations...

Here's a copy of my diskpart. (Talking so much about it I probably should have thought to post it.... Sorry)
