    Error DISM restorehealth

    twp things..

    Executing command line: Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:"D:\Users\Hali\Downloads\IMAGE_HEALTH\IMAGE_HEALTH_SXS\Temp\Mount\windows\winsxs" /LimitAccess

Place the "Image_health" folder on C - you are running the command 9 folders deep...
    Place Image_health-sxs.cmd inside "image_health" folder
Image health sxs cmd was and is only a TEST cmd
    Image-health is the normal cmd...

    [removed]

    "C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log" post the CBS.log

Also dism /scanhealth gives a better file report in the dism.log

Your damaged files appear to be that from a windows update, as windows update files are not on setup media..

step 1 delete current dism and cbs log files
    step 2 run Image_Health.cmd - option 1 = scanhealth
step 3 run Image health - option 2 = restorehealth
    step 4 run image health - option 3 = restorehealth /source
step 5 post dism.log and cbs.log (note: you can post logs as .txt > cbs.txt dism.txt)

  3. Restorehealth - using DISM command

    hi,

i am running my system on win 10 pro(x64).

yesterday i tried sfc /scannow - it found some curruptions , so i tried the following dism commands:

    1. Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup - it threw up an error 6800

    2. Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:wimDISM command /RestoreHealth unable to find source files :D:\sources\install.wim:1 /limitaccess - this one said ,source not found ............. error 0x0800f081f.

(wimDISM command /RestoreHealth unable to find source files :D was replaced with the drive letter of the mounted image)

in the said context it is pertinent to state, that i have created an iso image of win 10 from the media creation tool and what i did , prior to running the second dism command, was to mount the iso image . the mounted image showed as ESD-ISO - within this
was the source folder and then install.wim file.

i googled and read somewhere that the iso should not be ESD-ISO , but iso with standard install.wim file. however, when i look into the source folder of my mounted iso , i see install.wim file. there is no install.esd file .

am i missing out something or not executing the DISM command in the manner it should be run ?

why am i receiving these errors?

kindly assist me in resolving this issue and explaning, as to how to restorehealth of the windows image , using dism command.

    regards,

    Atul

  4. DISM command /RestoreHealth unable to find source files

    Restorehealth - using DISM command

    Hi Mike,

    thanks for the reply.

    1. could you please specify , when i used this command : Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup - why didit threw up an error 6800 ?

    2. further, when i used the command : Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth - why did i get this error 0x0800f081f ? ( i suppose this
error has to do with windows updates, however i am not facing any issues with windows updates)

    3. upon using this command: Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:wimDISM command /RestoreHealth unable to find source files :D:\sources\install.wim:1 /limitaccess - why this one said
,source not found ............. ( the source was the same iso file from which i had upgraded to win 10 pro(x64)

was i suppose to extract the iso file instaed of mounting it , in order to run the command , as mentioned in no. 3 above ?

thanking you in advance for your assistance.

    regards
