Windows 10: Dism Error 87

okay my computer blue screens on boot up and stop code is critical process died then reboots itself to another blue screen that says automatic repair i was told to go to cmd and type sfc /scannow and that says Windows Resource {roctection found corrupt file and successfully repaired them and that system file repair changes will take effect after next reboot but after reboot its the same cycle as before with Blue screen and not being able to boot windows then i was told to do the Dism prompts but i get an error 87 and all the people are saying im typing it wrong and im not so im pretty stuck

I think version 1607 is the current version for Windows 10 ... is there another way I can resolve the dism error 87? Thank you

 

Dism error 87 "cleanup-image option is unknown"

Im in winPE trying to use:

on an offline image but cannot get past this error:

I did the exact same procedure on windows 8 and a separate fresh install of windows 10 with no issues at all.

I've gone through all the Microsoft articles about dism i could find, many sites, and forum posts outlining the same handful of procedures that are supposed to fix this and other issues but don't seem to work half the time.

Supposedly error 87 is a syntax issue but this clearly doesn't apply to my situation. The error occurs with other options as well, /scanhealth, /checkhealth, /restorehealth, it isn't limited to just /cleanup-image.There appears to be no proven solution to this problem, if so its very hidden.

Any suggestions?

To troubleshoot your concern, we suggest that you run DISM Restore Health command. Refer to the steps provided below:

• Open Command Prompt (Administrator).
• Type the following command:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

3. Press Enter.
