Windows 10: DISM Error While Attempting to Fix Corrupted Windows Files

I've recently discovered that I haven't been able to update my windows version. My laptop notified me that my device is missing important updates, so I checked for the latest. Upon completing the check, I receive the error code of 0x80080005. I immediately go online and find this article. I employ solution 3 and Windows PowerShell comes up with an error at 74.3% as seen in the image below.



I'm very confused as to what I should do from this point, as everything I've tried so far hasn't worked. I'll attach my Windows specs below if it can be of any use in solving this problem.

Corrupted file RAR

If the archive has been created using WinRAR, why don't you try WinRAR itself? It has a built-in repair feature for repairing corrupted archive (ZIP as well as RAR). Follow the steps given below:

• Open WinRAR application in your system.
• Now click on File tab > Open or simply press Ctrl+O.
• A small window "Find Archive" will pop up. Locate the corrupt RAR archive from your system directory and select it.
• Now click Open button.
• Click Tools tab > Repair archive or simply press Alt+R.
• Again a small window "Repairing File name.rar" will pop up.
• Now click Browse to select a location to save the repaired archive.
• Check the box "Treat the corrupt archive as RAR" and click OK.
• WinRAR will start repairing of corrupt RAR archive. Once it gets completed click Close.

Use DISM to Repair Windows 10 Image  


Even doing a clean install of Windows 10 gives corrupt files. Dism seems useless in Windows 10 or in it's current build. I've tried all suggested steps and doing a clean install as a last resort and still get Error: 0x800f081f.

So if the official ISO and upgrade from Microsoft is corrupted, how would someone fix this issue? The reason for me using Dism was because I was getting errors using Windows image backup and powershell giving errors, not sure if there's any other issues.

Step 2: I suggest you to run DISM or System Update Readiness tool and check.

Steps:

• Connect to the internet.
