Windows 10: dism host file replicating in users temp folder

in my temp folder i saw thousands of folders with dismhost and a bunch of dlls in it, i highlighted the whole thing and deleted it but they come back how do i fix this, i also think i may have deleted an important file that should be deleted should this worry me

Appdata/Local/Temp filled quicky by a process replicating himself every 4 minutes

Even after deactivating all non-Microsoft services and startup programs, my temp folder still gets flooded by DismHost.exe replicates.

I have restarted my PC (clean boot) at 18:20, got the first folder at 18:31 and then a new folder every 4 minutes, along with a new instance of Dism Host Servicing Process running in the background (right now I have 7 folders and 6 instances of Dism Host).

I think this demonstrates the problem is related to a Windows core component.

Every folder in appdata/local/temp contains DismHost.exe plus 120 .dll files like api-ms-win-base-util-l1-1-0.dll

Then there are 2 subfolders en-US and fr-FR (I am french) containing 22 .mui files.

Task sheduler reports that the 4 tasks related to Windows Defender crashed at 19h01 (0x8007042B)

The temp folder provides work space for programs. Yes they can be deleted. We suggest that you follow the steps provided by Sangeeta Sarkar on how to delete Temp files on this

link. You may also type in the search box Disk Cleanup and hit enter. It will evaluate your disk and give you a list of folders sizes that can be deleted.

These temp files will not delete

I suggest you to follow these methods below and check, if it works:

Method 1:

• Press Windows key + R key together, to open RUN command Window.
• Type "temp" in the RUN Command Window, to open temp folder and then delete the files and folders inside the temp folder.

If the issue persists, follow method 2.

Method 2:

• Press Windows key + R key together, to open RUN command Window.
• Type "%temp%" in the RUN Command Window, to open temp folder and then delete the files and folders inside the temp folder.
  

If the issue persists, follow method 3.

Method 3:

I suggest you to boot the computer to Safe Mode, then perform disk cleanup on Windows 10 and check, if it works.
