  1. DISM restore is taking too much time

I used thr command sfc scanow and got that my computer has 87 errors then I tried running the DISM clean imgae restore health command. Its been 3 hours and it is struck at 26 percent. I run cmd in normal mode not im safe mode. Can someone tell me if I restart will it effect anything or any other solution to make it faster?

  3. Is it normal for DISM health restores to take a long time?

    Hi David,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I would like to inform that DISM takes a longer time compared that to SFC. DISM tool will take a longer time if the file size is larger.

Refer the link below for more information regarding DISM tool.

    What is DISM?

  4. DISM restore is taking too much time

Restoring thousands of messages takes time.

    Hi,

Great service, I will however just be using it for messages. Everything else is handled by exchange and other stuff (Syncing sms's with exchange would be super awesome DISM restore is taking too much time :D). I do write a lot of messages, and I've found these faults:

    • Restoring does not bring messages in the right order.
    • Restoring takes time. A lot of time.

Through activesync (Ie. using a broadband connection), it takes around 2-3 seconds per message. With the 2200 I have in archives, that's 4400-6600 seconds, or 2-3 hours. However, syncing the messages to the cloud takes only a matter of minutes.
Bulk restoring could be great DISM restore is taking too much time :).

    Regards,

    Mike
