    DISM stuck at 62.3%. I need my headphones wired to work, but need to keep reinstalling...


    DELL XPS 15 9750Windows 11Issue: My headphone 3.5mm jack does not function. I have to keep reinstalling Realtek audio drivers to make it work. Speakers are fine. I did sfc /scannnow on cmd, which said it repaired files, however it did not fix the headphone problem. I did DISM RestoreHealth but it is stuck at 62.3%. My goal is to have the headphone jack function and it seems there are driver issues. Please advise - how do I get DISM RestoreHealth to complete successfully? Keep in mind, I have already tried sound input/output devices, showing disabled devices, etc.

    How to get damn DISM to work?

    Thx guys, I'll compress this data into a blog post. For all the so called guides I've read, not a single one mentioned it has to be WIM file (some listed even ESD which clearly doesn't work) or that certain ISO images don't work with DISM.

    After I've done DISM thingie, SFC also managed to repair stuff. Which is what I've needed here.

    Wired Headphones work but device not showing.

    I've got a bit of a annoyance. My wired headphones work just fine but the headphone icon does not show up so I can easily change between default devices. Anyone know how to fix this? I've enclosed a screenshot on what is showing and not showing.

    Programs not working

    In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
    Are you able to follow them?
    In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.
