  1. DISM "The operation completed successfully" - So Did It Detect Anything or No?

I ran the RestoreHealth DISM command today, as well as a few days ago, because I haven't ran it in months prior and I usually just use sfc if I want a routine check; however, as a result I've forgotten the ins and outsafter a minute or 2, the command finished and simply said "the operation has completed successfully", with nothing else except something along the lines of "the restore operation has been completed"I know it said this a few days ago when I ran it, and I have no idea if it actually detected and repaired anything or if these are just routine "yeah we're done, have a good day" messa

    :)

    Hello Jordan

From yesterday I did not find any problem. But still I performed your suggested steps. I got following results.

    About SFC

    • Windows resource protection did not find any integrity violations
    About DISM

    • CheckHealth result: No component store corruption detected.
    • ScanHealth result: No component store corruption detected.
    • RestoreHealth result: The restore operation completed successfully.
    All three operation completed successfully.

I think DISM will always claim "the operation" completed successfully in its last line. It's the line(s) just before that one that is important. Did it say the "restore
    operation" completed successfully?

    (a) Mine was a "scanhealth" which says something else.

    (b) It will sit at 100% for several minutes, don't interrupt it.

    (c) You didn't interrupt it with "Ctrl-C" or anything -- did you?

That situation happened a couple of months ago with an earlier public build. Since 2004 is not a public build, I will try it and post back if I see the same thing..
