  1. Display Color Calibration NOT WORKING + Light Flickering Screen: Acer Aspire 5/Windows 11

I've noticed that my new ~1 month of usage Acer laptop running Windows 11 is giving me a warmer yellow tinted, similar to night light display monitor as compared to other monitors. So, I tried using the Display Color Calibration settings to change the gamma and color balance of the screen to make it more cooler. However, after changing the settings, the changes I made revert back to normal after the "You've created a new calibration screen" and no difference is made. Another thing I've noticed is that my screen starts flickering sometimes. It is a very light flicker, however it is noticeab

  2. Screen(s) flickering after performing and applying windows color calibration.

So here is the situation. My setup is simple: a BenQ monitor hooked up to a 2016 laptop over HDMI; i use both the laptop display and monitor in my work. I noticed that the monitor filtered out a lot of the blue light coming from it (with no way to turn the
feature off for some reason) so i performed a color calibration to correct the colors on that monitor. Then, to make my two displays match as closely as possible, i performed the same calibration on my laptop display. The app i used was the standard "calibrate
display color" function in the control panel.

Ever since i applied the calibration, both displays seem to flicker randomly, seemingly when there is some task occuring in the background. Sometimes, the displays flicker black but most of the time, the displays flicker to their original, pre-calibrated,
colors and then back to the calibrated state (i can tell because the monitor color becomes warm for a few moments). This leads me to believe that there is some problem in the display calibration being applied properly or the video drivers refreshing. Is there
a fix for this? Its mildly annoying but i guess i'll live with it haha.

    Display Color Calibration

We appreciate the detailed information. You can try uninstalling the driver in Device Manager and reboot the device. After the restart the system will automatically install the driver, then you can try to

    calibrate the display
    again.

If you don't want to uninstall the driver, we suggest that you try the below steps:

    • Go to Color Management using Search or Cortana.
    • Click on Advanced tab.
    • Select Change system defaults.
    • On the new window, click on the “Advanced” tab on the upper side of the window.
    • Now you will need to check the box next to “Use Windows default calibration”.
    • Left click or tap on the “Close” button.
    • Left click on the “Devices” tab you have on the upper side of the window.
    • Select the “Set as default profile”.
    • Reboot the device and see if your calibrate screen feature is okay now.

Let us know how it goes.
