  1. Display color profile keeps reverting on one of my monitors upon restart/awakening?

    Hi all,

So I have 3 monitors, one of which is not really a monitor but a drawing tablet. I used a colorimeter to get the displays to be as color accurate as possible so my artwork can look similar no matter what type of screen you're viewing it on.

Anyways, the colorimeter looked great, my drawing tablet was very true to it's claims of being color accurate and all was well. However I've noticed that sometimes when I restart my PC, or wake it up from "sleep," the tablet will have it's original color profile on again. Sometimes it will switch back to the color profile I created for it. I can't really tell what the circumstances are for it that causes this to happen.

When I go to Display Settings > Color Profile, it still shows as the icm file I created for the tablet. However because of the colorful wallpaper I have on it it's really easy to tell when it's not on the sRGB color accurate profile I created for it.

Nothing happens when I click on the color profile option itself. Really frustrating because I don't want to keep making a new profile for it every time this happens, plus I don't know if that's good for the monitor/tablet.

I've found that this pretty much never happens on my "main" monitor unless it's unplugged from the GPU and plugged back in again.

I think it also reverted on my second monitor but it's harder to tell on that one.

Anything I can do to fix this issue?

  2. Display color profile (ICC) keeps resetting

    Hi,

I have a Asus ROG laptop with Intel HD4600 graphics with Windows 10.

I have configured some color profiles for my laptop screen and external monitor (Dell UP2716D). The external monitor is connected via HDMI.

The problem is that the color profiles ALWAYS keep reverting to default in the following scenarios:

    1) Disconnect and reconnect monitor HDMI cable

    2) Change between "Extend" and "Duplicate" screen modes

    In addition:

If i enter "Extend" mode and configure BOTH profiles then all is well until restart or screen mode change "Extend/Duplicate/etc". After laptop restart BOTH lose their color profile.

If i enter "Extend" mode and configure the profile ONLY for external monitor then external monitor occasionally remembers the color profile after restart. Although laptop screen profile is now overridden somehow and colors on laptop screen are very overexposed.

    What could cause these issues?

I have tried updating Intel drivers, also got a response from Intel personnel stating that color profiles are managed by Windows.

Please advise how to resolve this. Even a workaround would be okay, perhaps a tool that reconfigures th proper color profiles every 5 seconds or so.

Upgrade to 1903 monitor color profile not loading from cold boot

ICC color profile is still not properly fixed. If you [ Turn off the display ] after set number of minute(s) or hour(s) using Power Options/Edit Plan Settings, when the display is awakened sometimes the ICC color profile will not load and reverts back to default.

Display color profile keeps reverting on one of my monitors upon restart/awakening?

Custom Color Profile lost on startup

    Hello All,

I have created a color profile using a colorimeter which I then set as default. However whenever I restart my laptop the profile reverts to the original Windows default. It's strange, because upon startup the screen is using my custom profile but it reverts to the Windows default when startup is complete. I then go into Color Management to reset it and the profile is missing from the "Profiles associated with this device" list. I have to click on the "Add..." button and select it from the "Associate Color Profile" list and then reset it again as default.

I am using a Spyder2Pro to calibrate my monitor.
