Okay I have tried swapping out the RAM and sadly the problem still persists. So my theory has been shattered. Regardless the errors still seem to happen when opening and closing windows/tabs so i don't understand how the RAM isn't at fault *Mad

Test the RAM to be sure, however I'm not sure if the RAM is the cause.

MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.

Though, it might look like the RAM is at fault (can't say it is or isn't), my opinion, based on the problems you describe, is that the graphics drivers are the cause.

Yeah you probably are right about the drivers, the only reason I have been focused on hardware as I am at a loss on how to fix the software issue. If it was faulty ram it would be easy to replace but I have already tried 3+ different graphics drivers and all have done the same thing.

I am going to try and use 15.7 which is 1 version behind my current one, however this is a Windows 8 driver. I have read online that it shouldn't cause many issues with Windows 10 so I guess its worth a shot using it.

I'll let you know if it still happens.

Okay so something extremely freaky just happened, I was about to install the driver but I had to go for dinner but when I got back it had changed my resolution back to 1920x1080 so im thinking "what the **** is this?" so i go to click start and my computer bluescreens with the same TDR_VIDEO_FAILURE error. I've rebooted and it seems my graphics card installed a driver on its own as well as installing Catalyst Control Center by itself.

Here is the driver it installed itself:

    Attachment 38319

The same errors still persists with this graphics driver that it installed itself. I have no idea how it did this. I didn't have the driver installer open or anything and my PC didn't reboot whilst I was away or anything like that. I even used ur registry file for turning off driver updates, earlier today.

Do you have any idea how it did this?

Please scan your system with your AV and Malwarebytes.
Please use Adwcleaner and let me know what it finds.

Also to note disabling this driver that it installed keeps my resolution the same but stops the errors from happening. However it does cause some lag on videos etc but the error messages do not pop up so you are correct in that this must be a driver problem

Okay thanks, im running both malware bytes and the adwcleaner you sent me so I will let you know if either show anything. I did a scan previously with Malware Bytes but it quarantined everything it found. I'll update once both scans are finished

If I am correct, these BSOD's 'TDR_VIDEO_FAILURE' are simply saying that the drivers of the GPU stopped responding and Windows tries to activate them.
Because the delay is too much and Windows cannot activate the drivers in time you get this crash.

The long term of this crash is 'Timeout Detection and Recovery Video Failure'

    EDIT:
I see I already said this *Redface

I ran the Adwcleaner and it did detect some errors but i had to restart my computer and now i can't find the log file where it saved the errors. Using the driver still causes crashes and not using it still allows me to do things as it did before. Sadly both malwarebytes and my AV were closed when Adwcleaner restarted after it finished cleaning so I will have to restart those scans. At this point in time it seems every driver causes these issues so would this be a hard drive issue or anything like that?

I noticed that the last few BSODs (today) forced me to have to disconnect and reconnect my hard drive otherwise the screen past the bios would just show a static underscore and wouldnt load anything further. After reconnecting the hard drive it would boot without any sort of issue.

Adwcleaner closes every program and restarts the pc so it can remove everything and usually shows you a file of deleted stuff right after the restart has finished.
If you didn't get the log, it should be located at {windows partition}\AdwCleaner\

Okay here is the 3 logs Adwcleaner produced

Also restarting has forced my resolution back to the small screen size. I believe it staying in 1920x1080 last time must have been a glitch. However the errors still don't appear, I really wish i could just force it to be 1920x1080 and still keep the driver disabled for the meantime

I found a way of using 1080p with it still not causing crashes. I went on to the disabled driver and clicked "roll back driver" and now the driver is called "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" which allows me to use 1920x1080 as my resolution and still doesn't cause the crashes which is nice. Obviously this isn't a perfect setup as I still get frame drops in videos and I'm guessing i will get a lot lower fps whilst gaming but until i fix my issues it still allows me to use my PC. It also means I am able to use Chrome instead of the piece of shit that is Internet Explorer xDD

Here is the log for Malware Bytes, it only detected 2 items:

I will update once my AVG antivirus has finished scanning

I cancelled the scan for AVG at 95% because it had only found 1 minor issue that wasn't even a virus and it was eating up my hard drive speed massively.

I also decided to try out playing some games and using the basic driver meant I was getting 9 FPS on Terraria when I usually get 60+ FPS. I tried out Borderlands: The Pre Sequel and it took about 5 minutes to reach the main menu as the loading screens had 1-2 FPS. So yeah, I definitely need to find a solution for this xDDD

It seems I either use an AMD driver and I can play games but everything else crashes, or I can use a basic driver that allows me to do everything else fine but games are unplayable.

An AV system scan slows down the performance a lot, because of this it is smart to run it overnight.

According to the log files, you could have a lot of unwanted software installed and have some system tweaks done by programs.
