  1. Display errors in Edge and other Windows 10 Apps

I recently bought my friends 2016 Dell XPS 13.3" Laptop, I restored Windows 10 to it's factory new settings to start the computer from scratch. The machine for the most part runs like a dream, however I've found a weird display error when using Microsoft Edge or other Windows 10 based apps (i.e Netflix, Hulu etc. from the Microsoft store).

When I open any of these programs or applications they run fine mechanically, all the buttons work, load times are fast etc. But all most if not all of the selection and dialogue boxes display with these lines through them, and boxes that have rounded corners in other browsers (Chrome, Firefox) are reverted to these broken boxes.

I thought at first it might be a graphics driver problem, but the problem only occurs in Microsoft Apps so I'm tripped up about it.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
