Windows 10: Display freezes for a few seconds randomly, distorts audio

Hello I've been having infrequent issues with my audio cracking up and my screen freezing for a few seconds. First time i've noticed a new problem was around the end of February where I was playing Teamfight Tactics by Riot Games like usual, but frames dropped from 100s to 10 at random times, and a handful of games where the audio would distort and crack up throughout the game. Although these games aren't highly intensive at all, ever since then I haven't played any games but I still notice these freezes when all I'm doing is watching videos.


Yesterday, I was watching a twitch broadcast and my display and audio did the same thing for a long time, crashed for about 5 minutes computer was still on but screen was black and audio shut off, and came back with a LiveKernelEvent 141. Here are it's details:

Windows 10 freezes randomly

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin

I had tried that as well... no result.

 

audio distortion on Icon

My Icon has distorted audio when voice mails are played and phone is on speaker. Volume is 20/30. Any suggestions?

 

sound distorted after windows 10 anniversary upgrade

This is where I'm at on my HP laptop with Windows 10 and the Anniversary update.

I completed step #3 "hardware and sound" but that took me to an option for "sound, speakers." There was no "properties" as step #4 suggests. I selected "sound, speakers" and then found "properties." After selecting "properties" there was no "enhancements
tab" as step #5 suggests.

Regardless, I then uninstalled the realtek audio driver. I noticed that when I did this without restarting my laptop that the sound was now tinny, but not distorted as it was previously. After restarting, the sound was again full, yet distorted.

Realtek still shows in my programs list, though it shows no memory is used.
