Windows 10: Display in French Computer still in English

Hello,


I trying to realize a build of Windows 10 2004 with English and French language.

So I got the ISO file of Windows 10 2004 by the software : "Windows-ISO-Downloader.exe", and the ISO Language Pack 2004 : "mu_windows_10_language_pack_version_2004_x86_arm64_x64_dvd_7729a9da" ,


I launch the command line DISM.exe /Online /Add-ProvisionedAppxPackage /PackagePath:.\LanguageExperiencePack.fr-FR.Neutral.appx /LicensePath:.\License.xml


The LanguageExperiencePack is installed but even after reboot the display is still is 50% english - 50% french, but the settings say "French"


All settings seems to be good




But when I launch the Microsoft Store the French Local Experience Pack is downloaded.




And after that, the display is fully in French.

So I have many question :

- My LocalExperiencePack is compatible with my windows 10 2004 Edition ?

- How I can get the APPX from the Windows Store to apply it manually ?

- I missing something ?

Where is French Canada Cortana?

So I contact the support and we did some stuffs :

1. We installed the french language pack.

Support agent said me that I will be able to keep English display, but french language pack will allow Cortana to work in french.

Result : All was in french (display too). Cortana was kind of ok, but had a weird robotic voice when it was reading about learning to understand me blablabla. It was very strange.

2. I re-added English US display on top of the list.

Result : All was in English

3. I added French Canada on top of the list again, but without restarting the computer.

Result : Apps were in french like normally, MS Edge was in french (finally), display was in English like I wanted and Cortana was a mix of two languages. Cortana was welcoming me in English, but I was able to ask her some things in french and she was answering
in french. But it was a bit broken and I needed to restart the computer...

So I remove the french language pack to see... And Cortana was back to English Canada again.

The solutions :

Wait for a fix from Microsoft to make Cortana available in other language than the display language.

Or manage with a french display computer (which is harder when you try to explain something to foreign people, because you don't need to remember the name of this thing in English).

 

Windows 10 installed as french version but «reverted» to English after yesterday's update

I suggest you to change the Language and date & time settings again. Follow the below steps.

• 
  Open the Start menu and type
  Settings in the search bar.

  Click on Time and Language.
  
• 
  Select the Region and Language and make sure that you select
  Country and region to French Guina.
  
• 
  Under the Language click on
  Add a language and download the French language pack.
  
• 
  After the language pack has downloaded, click on
  French language pack and Set as default
  
• 
  Close the settings and Reboot the computer for the changes to take effect.
  

I suggest you to change the time of the system also accordingly for the changes to take effectively.

Few applications in Windows 10 are in english instead of french

I suggest that you try the steps below and check if it helps.

• On the search bar type “Control Panel” and then go to “Clock, Language and Region”.
• Click on “Language” and on the left pane, locate “Advance Settings” and click on it.
• Make sure that “Override for windows display language” drop down box is set as French.
• Click on “OK” and restart your system and check if it resolves your issue.
