Windows 10: Display is pixelated after a Windows 10 update; Drivers are up to date.

Display issues - Pixelated at times


Hi all,

Having weird display issues on my Laptop running Windows 10 - Pictures and videos look a bit pixelated at times.
All drivers updated and windows updates have been installed. See image below:





Any suggestions or fixes would really be appreciated.

 

Windows 10 nVidia Driver Question

With the Nov Update, Windows 10 became mature enough to give another try. Build 10586 (version 1511) runs great, feels snappy, and has no obvious problems. However, I'm concerned with this version's insistence on loading nVidia's 353.54 driver, which is dated July 13 2015, 4 months ago. On their US website they list all the new drivers as being compatible with Windows 10, (such as 358.91), but they won't load (installer says incompatible with this version of Windows, could find no compatible hardware...). The 353.54 driver runs games without any problems, but why is it taking so long to for nVidia to update this driver? Is it my 780 Ti that's incompatible or is it Windows 10?

  • It is new notebook, so I just installed OS and some programs...So I cant tell if it was happening before.
• "How did you upgrade to Windows 10? Was it through Windows update or via Media Creation Tool?"
  • It is installed from Windows 10 pro installation DVD
• "What are the troubleshooting steps you have already performed which we need to be aware of?"

I tried:

• update drivers
• rollback drivers
• reinstall original drivers directly from DELL support
• change resolutions
• change refresh rates
• disable window transparency
• I tried to change everything in Intel HD graphics settings

but nothing helped....After some while of using(for example just browsing web pages) "the pixels" appeared again.

I tried your Method 1, Method 2 but without success...

It seems working only when I totally disable the Intel(R) HD Graphics 520
in Device manager.

It changes to Microsoft Basic Display Driver with refresh rate to 64 Hz.

But when I enable or update my driver I can choose only between 60 Hz / 48 Hz
...
