Windows 10: Display Language Issue Win 2004

Hey Guys,

normally I am not the person to make a post but instead tinker through it myself via trial and error or guides, but I have a limited time frame and most guides just show how you do it normally and not a workaround.



I got new laptops for our spanish employees. We use SCCM to deploy win 10 enterprise as german version (for us) or as english version for the rest of the world. Afterwards I install the required additional languages myself.

This is quite usefull since we had laptops with german installation and english language packs first, but then they still showed german errors (even after removing the german language pack) which wasnt helpful to the employees there.

We could make a deployment for each language, but the amount of work and maintanance is just too much and then helping them would be more complicated.



Now to the issue:

I deployed the Windows in english and went to the language settings to install spanish. I see it in the list with the sign for the display language, but if I try to download, it will never allow me to get the display language installed. I tried it also via microsoft store but its the same result.

I read that windows changed from .CAB files to .LPX and we checked our microsoft download center, but cant get a language pack. I tried to install older .CAB files via lpksetup, but it fails.

I also cant find a option in the old control panel anymore.

I tried to download via our IT WLAN which is unblocked and allows everything, but still nothing.

Reinstall/Restart also didnt work.

We even downloaded a Multilanguage pack to see if there is a useable language file inside the iso, but nope.



This is giving me quite a headache atm, our old tips with deleting reg keys and restarting the wsus service also dont work anymore, anybody got a tip?

I suggest you to Change settings that may block installation

There are advanced language settings that may block the download of language packs. To revert these settings to their defaults values so that you can download language packs, follow these steps:

• 
  Open Control Panel. To do this, type Control Panel in the
  Search box, and then tap or click Control Panel in the search results list.
  
• 
  Tap or click Clock, Language and Region. (If you are viewing Control Panel in icon display, select
  Language, and then go to step 4.)
  
• 
  Tap or click Language.
  
• 
  Tap or click Advanced settings.
  
• 
  Examine the Override for Windows display language and
  Override for default input method lists. Make sure that the
  Use language list (recommended) option is selected for both lists

I can not change display language

I understand your concern and will assist you to resolve this issue.



I suggest you to remove the language and try to re-add download the Chinese language and check if it helps.

To change the language follow the steps below.

• Press and hold the Windows logo key and then press the Spacebar repeatedly, you will be able to switch between the languages.
