  1. Display Network/Domain user account on Windows 11 log in screen

Hello everyone, I have been researching this for the past week and I have not found anything.I work at a school, and I am trying to find a way to display 2 network/domain accounts on the login screen. I want this option because the computer lab is going to be shared by two distinct classes. One for open lab use and the other for testing. I tried: Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Logon:Enumerate local users on domain-joined computers: EnabledDo not enumerate connected users on domain-joined computer: Not ConfiguredThe problem with this method how

User Name or Password Incorrect When Trying to Log In as Domain User

I've tried searching repeatedly for an answer to this problem but I seem to be getting nowhere.

My client purchased a desktop PC with Windows 10 Home edition installed. I upgraded the machine to Windows 10 Pro. I added a Microsoft account to the machine.

I logged in using this account and added the machine to the domain (Windows Server 8). When prompted to enter a domain user account, I used my Administrator account. The machine was added fine. I can see it in the list of devices on the server.

Now when I try to log in to the machine as a domain user or the domain administrator, I get an error. Here are my steps at the login screen:

    1. Click on Other user (Note that "Sign in to: <DOMAIN>" is displayed)

    2. Enter user name (I've also tried DOMAIN\User and *** Email address is removed for privacy ***)

    3. Enter password.

    4. Click on arrow.

    5. Message displayed is "The user name or password is incorrect. Try again."

I've tried multiple domain accounts and verified their passwords. It seems that only the local/Microsoft account will let me into the PC.

  3. Login Screen showing wrong user account for display names (Domain)

    Hi,

When I log onto a windows 10 computer, log out, remote onto the computer with a different account and then log out, the login screen wont update the display name but it will update the user name.

I noticed this started with 1703 and have the same issue with 1709.

Any idea on how to get the Display name to update or to completely hide the remote users details and just show the original users login details?

This is an example of the login screen after doing the above process. Also seems to happen to some users that share a computer.

Login Screen showing wrong user account for display names (Domain)

These are domain accounts so the above solution wont work.
The problem I'm having is that the wrong username and display name is showing on the login screen.
The below image shows two different accounts which are not related to each other in anyway.
The display name shows peoplesafeusers but the username should be peoplesafeusers not jamess
