    Display of FolderSize broken since W11 update of 01.07.2022 yesterday


    Yesterday Microsoft installed an update for Windows 11 that makes FolderSize see: https://foldersize.sourceforge.net useless as it only shows the size of +0 for each folder. This is usually shown when FolderSize does not have the right to look into the folder.Since Windows Vista the Windows Explorer was crippled so that FolderSize can only show the folde sizes in a separate additional window and no longer in the Windows Explorer window itself what makes it impossible to sort the window by foldersize as shown here.How to give back the rights to foldersize that the folder size is again showe

    Cumulative updates for Windows 10 and Windows 11 - January 2022

    Hello FNG_809,

    I am Jaspreet Singh an independent advisor.

    It is not uncommon for the learn more links to be broken.

    KB5008353 was a bug fix update released a few days earlier and the fixes can be checked here : https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2022/...

    Is the update missing from the installed updates list?

    Windows update will not apply

    I have a Windows 7 Pro that will not apply the following updates:

    Kb4516065

    Kb4474419

    Kb4524752

    Kb4535102

    We are trying to catch up on some missed updates. The listed updates will not apply for some reason. The updates download and install just fine initially. After the reboot we get the following message:

    "Failure configuring Windows updates. Reverting changes."

    The computer then restarts and the updates never apply. I've seen people recommend installing the following updates separately but that gets the same results.

    KB4516048

    I have also deleted the downloaded update file in the "Windows/SoftwareDistributioin/Download" folder.
