Windows 10: display orientation setting not individual for user accounts

Hello,


we are two users accounts on my computer, one of us uses the monitor in portrait mode, the other one in landscape mode.


We constantly have to change the display orientation setting after we log in or before we log out.

The problem is - why is this setting changed for all user accounts simultaneously, why is it not kept individual for all user accounts? In a perfect world the user who uses portrait mode would see the screen in portrait mode after log in and would NOT have to switch it back to landscape mode before log out.


Other settings, which in my humbe opinion are far more annoying, such as the sounds of notifications, are however individual for all users. One of us has the notification sounds turned off, while the other one hears every beep.

P.S. Since there are no hotkeys such as Alt Gr+Arrow supported, changing display orientation after log in or before log is even more of a disappointment, since it takes even more time and effort.

• In the search box on the taskbar, type Display.
• Select Display settings from the list of results.
• Now choose an orientation to landscape and check if that helps.

Or you may try resizing the windows by pressing
CTRL + ALT + Up Arrow.

There's an option on Windows 10 to switch between landscape and portrait orientation. We recommend following these steps on how to switch the screen orientation from portrait to landscape:

• On Cortana search, type display settings.
• Choose Display settings from the list.
• Under Orientation, select on Landscape and click
  Apply.

Problem with display orientation

The recent Windows update can change your system settings and could've affected the screen orientation of your device. To enable this feature, we suggest that you update your display drivers by following these steps:

• Type in Device Manager on the search box.
• Press Enter.
• Click the drop-down arrow for Display adapters.
• Right-click the driver and Select Properties.
• Select Diver tab.
• Click on Update Driver.
• Click OK.

You can also visit your device's support website, to check for the latest driver that are compatible on your device.
