Windows 10: Display Port is connected as well as hdmi , but dp one shows very low resolution 1024 and...

I have a new pc build with rtx 4080, i7 13 Gen, 32 gb of ram. My problem started after i changed my in-game compatibility of Valhalla for it to run on Win 10 i have win 11…then all of a sudden game crashed, and my whole screen resolution went from 2k resolution to 1024x768. Display is stretched out and native resolution shows only two options. I checked the display settings and now it only shows ‘Wired Display’ instead of my monitor name. Only shows two resolutions 1024 and 800 …i thought perhaps it was a faulty dp cable so i bought a new one, but the same problem persists.Thing is everythin

1280 x 1024 60 Hz resolution not supported by Microsoft Wireless Display adapter

I bought a Microsoft Wireless display adapter and it is not showing me the 1280 x 1024 60 Hz resolution. It shows me 1280 x 1024 30 Hz instead. This prevents the display to show up on my monitor, which supports 280 x 1024 60 Hz resolution only.

How can I fix this? I am using a HDMI female to VGA Male cable to connect to the monitor. My monitor does not have an HDMI port.

 

HDMI instead of Display Port

My computer has been using the display port for a long time. I now want to use the HDMI port, but it will not display. It displays fine on the DP but when I connect to the HDMI port, it just stays blank. I purchased a new computer and would like to use my old one headlessly, but I have to get it to recognize HDMI on the monitor first. Can anyone tell me if there is a place I can go to check or turn it on?

2 x PCs into my Samsung 49 Ultrawide DP/HDMI - after a while of inactivity DP is not showing

Hi,

I have my main PC connected to my Samsung 49" ultrawide monitors Display-Port, and a small (always on) micro PC connected to the HDMI port - and I can happily switch between each using the source selection

However, after a while of inactivity of my main PC the monitor seams to forget my main PC (DP) and only the micro PC is displayed (HDMI) - when I go to select Display port - it searches for a while then reverts to the micro PC (HDMI)

The only way I can get my main PC back on the monitor is to "Black-button" restart it , sometimes having to switch off the PSU for a while too- which I don't like doing -any suggestions please? - thank you
