Windows 10: Display randomly goes blank

HelloI have an issue where the display output of my computer goes black i can still hear some apps running in the background, and then restarts after about a minute. I have built this computer and have had no issues with it for 2 - 3 years, this is a recent issue that popped up as of the last few months. It seems to be completely random as to when it occursoesn't seem to be associated with any particular application, I could be gaming, using a remote desktop, browsing the web, or programming when the error occurs. If I leave my computer on for long enough it will possibly crashthere is no

Screen goes blank after changing BIOS settings/

I don't know how long this has been happening, a few weeks at least, but whenever I change a setting in my BIOS (and save & exit), my screen goes blank and my monitor goes into standby. Any suggestions to fix this?

 

Monitor randomly goes blank/black and then turns back on where it left off, despite laptop

Hello everyone,

My monitor suddenly goes blank randomly and then like after 3 seconds goes back on again while laptop remains on. Happens quite frequently.

Troubleshooting steps already taken:

- updated driver, Dell XPS 9315 System BIOS

- tested if faulty adaptor that connects my dell to monitor. Not the case as my other laptop that is not Dell works perfectly fine with that monitor,hdmi cord and adaptor and the monitor never randomly goes blank!

-monitor driver all up to date.

I'm out of ideas. Anyone able to provide some help what I can do to prevent this?

• Did you make any recent changes on the computer prior to this issue?
• When exactly the issue occurs, is it while performing any particular function?
• Do you get any error messages?

This issue could have occurred due to corrupt System Files.



I suggest you to try the following steps which will help to fix corrupt System Files.



a. Open the Task manager by pressing CTRL+Shift+ESC.


b. Click File and click Run New Task.

c. Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”.

d. Type CMD.

e. Type the following commands at the CMD prompt:

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

sfc /scannow

powershell

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}


f. Close the CMD Window.
