    Display resolution messed up after EVERY major MS update


    On my Dell Optiplex 780, after every singe major update Microsoft puts out for Windows 10, my display is all messed up. It reverts to 1024x768 and my monitor's native resolution (1600x900) is always removed from the list of options in the display settings, including the one in Intel's graphics options tray application. I am forced to readd the resolution back.

    I have noticed that many other things get reverted with these updates, mainly those which store settings in the registery. This includes but not limited to license keys to various programs.

    Does anybody know what the problem could be? happens with EVERY major update
