Windows 10: Display Settings Issues

Hello Everyone,I really hope someone can help me here as honestly this issue is really bugging me.For the past 3 months I have been unable to launch display settings, all I get is the white box with a cog in the middle. When I open Event Viewer this is the error I receive- System - Provider [ Name] Application Hang [ Guid] {c631c3dc-c676-59e4-2db3-5c0af00f9675} EventID 1002 Version 0 Level 2 Task 101 Opcode 0 Keywords 0x8000000000000000 - TimeCreated [ SystemTime] 2022-10-29T07:28:55.3928122Z EventRecordID 358 Correlatio

In order to help you with the issue about the display and sleep settings, kindly answer the following questions:

• Have you tried the troubleshooting steps suggested by MVP Andre Da Costa? If you did, what were the results?
  
• For us to avoid redundancy of the troubleshooting process, what were the other steps you have done to resolve the issue?

Display settings

Hi Julia,



To reset the settings back to default, follow these steps:

• Go to your desktop, right click and select Display Settings.
• Choose the appropriate settings from the options under Display.

Let us know if the above steps resolved the issue.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
