Windows 10: Display Settings tab crashes after around 10 seconds of being open.

The settings window works fine, but as soon as I enter the display settings window it seems to be a ticking time bomb before the whole window crashes with no message or anything. This is making it incredibly difficult to do something that should be easy.

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

 

Win 10; Settings > Update & Security; will not stay open. The page displays for few seconds then Settings closes down completely.

Suggestions please. Win 10; Settings > Update & Security; will not stay open. The page displays for few seconds then Settings closes down completely. All other Settings pages display normally.

 

Windows Settings -- System -- Display crashes

Problem in Subject line above. Windows Settings opens OK and all other selections work except for System -- Display. When I click on that item, Settings crashes. Display is the first item on the System list, so when it tries to open it, down it goes.

If I right-click on Windows Start then choose System, it opens the System window to the About section, but when I click on Display, it crashes. All other items except Display work OK.

If I right-click on the desktop and choose "Display Settings" it starts to open the Settings window then it crashes, so no luck there.

Windows 10 - 1903 fully up to date as of today's date. I believe this problem started after I did the 1903 update a few months ago.

Is there another way to get to the "Display" settings?
