Windows 10: Display Transparency Glitch Windows 10

Hello,I've been struggling with a strange transparency glitch for months now. See here and here. It's hard to describe exactly what the issue is, but the desktop apps on both my laptop and extended display highlight whatever my mouse hovers over. That highlight then doesn't go away until I click or move around a bit more. The same for menus that I open and close. Their transparent shadow stays there for a while until I click again. It seems to be exclusively a problem for desktop apps browser apps seem fine, as is gaming and going through standard Windows menus like Start and Settings and it

Glitching After Updating To Windows 10

Hi Ahsiek,

Display errors might have caused by an incompatible drivers. For us to isolate the issue, we would like to know the following:

• What is the
  build number and version of your Windows?
• When you say glitch, does it mean that the screen flickers?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
• What is the make and model of your Windows 10 laptop?

In the meantime, we suggest that you update the graphics driver of your Windows 10 by following the steps given on this article:

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows 10 start menu glitch--it actually shows how transparent the elements of the UI should be!



Hey everyone and I just upgraded to Windows 10! So as seen in the picture above, there is a glitch that I encountered in the start menu that somehow made the start menu transparent.

Here is what I did before the glitch happened:

First I went into my personalization settings. Then I set my favorite color (In my case it is orange). And lastly I turned on the "show color on start, taskbar, and action center". Then, I went into the start to see how it looked. That's when the glitch
occurred. I quickly took a screenshot of it (shown above).

This glitch also shows how transparent the elements of the UI should be. It should be glass clear, like in Windows 7, and we should be able to change the color of the glass, just like in Windows 7 as well.

So please, I want the Windows 10 UI to look as transparent as the start menu glitch.
