I bought a new hard disk, installed it and every thing works fine. One thing is that the fonts displayed on the screen desktop icons fonts, fonts inside pdf files, fonts on websites look more "bitmap" than "vectorized". I.e. you see pixels that build the letters and not smooth curves that build the letters.I am aware of the "ClearType" settings and I went through the wizard that helps you choose the appearance that looks best to me, but the pixelized letters are still visible.I am using the same monitors as before formatting the disk and before formatting the letters looked just fine and smo

I bought a new hard disk, installed it and every thing works fine. One thing is that the fonts displayed on the screen (desktop icons fonts, fonts inside pdf files, fonts on websites) look more "bitmap" than "vectorized". I.e. you see pixels that build the letters and not smooth curves that build the letters.

I am aware of the "ClearType" settings and I went through the wizard that helps you choose the appearance that looks best to me, but the pixelized letters are still visible.

I am using the same monitors as before formatting the disk and before formatting the letters looked just fine and smooth.

Any help how to fix it?

  3. I can't use bitmap font (.fon) in any program

    Thanks for answering, a lot.

You mean that all fonts of Windows 3.1 but Courier New and Lucida Sans Typewriter are incompatible with Windows 10 right?

Is this happening for all other bitmap monospaced fonts? (.fon)

Is there a newer version of this font in bitmap format compatible with Windows 10?

The TTF (vectorized) versions I already tried don't recreate properly the pixel corners.

    Thanks, have a nice day.

    Bitmap font support

    Hello,

Symbian phones use predefined font set regarding on which region device is sold. Unfortunately I couldn’t find an application which would enable custom made bitmap font usage with C7-00.
