Windows 10: DisplayLink Network Adapter NCM locking up under Windows 11

I recently upgrade my Dell Precision 5550 Laptop to Windows 11, and ever since the ethernet port in a docking station that is connected via USB C will lock up after a few days and no traffic will get through. Disabling and re-enabling the adapter fixes it and traffic starts to flow. According to Microsoft, the driver is up to date. Driver date is 9/04/2020 and driver version is 9.3.3309.0.This was not a problem under Windows 10.Are there any permanent fixes for this? I have processes that run through the night and require the network adapter to be working at all times. Resetting the adapter

Displaylink network adapter ncm not working after Windows 10 upgrade to 1803

Hi

Upgraded from Windows 10 1703 to 1803 on Friday and sinve then "Displaylink network adapter ncm" have failed.

Device status = "Windows is still setting up the class configuration for this device. (Code 56)"

I have uninstalled Displaylink as I know understand it is built into Windows itself but does not help.

Have also tried cleaning it out with "DisplayLink Installation Cleaner 8.4.2368.exe" and reinstalling with "DisplayLink USB Graphics Software for Windows 8.6 M0.exe" (downloaded from Displaylink) but not more luck with those.

Have now left the laptop with Displaylink uninstalled and using Windows drivers where all like monitors, keybord, mouse etc. work but not network so have plugged an extra cable directly to the laptop as a workaround.

How can I get this working?

(my company have disabled MS feedback so cant report this from the OS in Feedback hub...)

According to logs it seem to say driver dlcdcncm.inf_amd64_3e34ae9ebcd6c189 is used.

Edit: Hmm, where did all picture go which was inline with the text...

I hav ethe same Problem on the Device Manager every think seems to be ok.

DisplayLink Network Adapter NCM - latest driver, is working.

But I cannot go to the internet by connecting the cabel. Everything else is working fine.

Software of today.

Method 1:

Run the Network Troubleshooter and check if that helps.Here is the steps:

  Click on Start button and type
  Troubleshoot and select Troubleshooting.

  Click on Network and Internet, click on

  Follow the onscreen instructions.
  

Method 2:

Update the Network Adapter driver. Here is the steps:

• 
  Press Windows+X key on your desktop and select
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Locate Network drivers, expand, right click and click
  on Update.
  
  If it doesn’t help, then I would suggest you to
  uninstall and re-install the Network Adapter drivers
  in compatibility mode. Here is the steps:
  

• Go to your manufacturer’s website

• Type devmgmt.msc and hit Enter.
• Under Driver, expand, then right click and select
