Windows 10: Distortion Effect on monitor. How to fix?

Hello and Thank you for your time. A relatively small problem as it goes away within 3 mins of startup/ wake up. When I start up my pc or wake up there is a weird distortion effect on my main monitor. It mostly is about an inch along the entire bottom of my main monitor. The distortion can be described as a blue highwaywindows startup color with about 50 lanes. In those 50 lanes are black trucks zipping away very fast. These trucks are very longhalf or more of the monitor length and can copy colors from other parts of the screen. The lanes are slowly reduced overtime3 mins before disappearing completely. Once the "highways" occupied the very top, bottom, and middle of my monitor but that has only happened once. I don't know what my monitor is but it's 1440p, 144 hertz, VA panel, Curved 1-year-old, Viotek. If any of that helps. Thank you and have a great day.


Extra info, This does occur when my computer has fallen asleep for more than a hr~ish~

To fix your distorted monitor display, follow the steps below:

• Right-click the desktop.
• Select Display settings.
• Click Advanced display settings.
• Check if the Resolution is at "Recommended" level, if it isn't set it to that and click
  Apply.

For further troubleshooting, we recommend that you update your
graphics card driver.

sound distorted after windows 10 anniversary upgrade

This is where I'm at on my HP laptop with Windows 10 and the Anniversary update.

I completed step #3 "hardware and sound" but that took me to an option for "sound, speakers." There was no "properties" as step #4 suggests. I selected "sound, speakers" and then found "properties." After selecting "properties" there was no "enhancements
tab" as step #5 suggests.

Regardless, I then uninstalled the realtek audio driver. I noticed that when I did this without restarting my laptop that the sound was now tinny, but not distorted as it was previously. After restarting, the sound was again full, yet distorted.

Realtek still shows in my programs list, though it shows no memory is used.
