Windows 10: DivX and PowerDVD

Folks,

I have PowerDVD Ultra 15 installed. All is good. I also have DivX 10 installed. It seems like they do the same thing. I hate to sound ignorant, since I'm the one that bought/installed these, but what does DivX do that PowerDVD does not? I've done some internet searches and looked at the product spec pages, but nothing leaps out at me.

How can I assign a media player to autoplay CDs?

PowerDVD is an application that auto-read medias from Compact Discs (CD) and
Digital Versatile Discs (DVD) like PowerISO. This application is installed upon installing the drivers from your motherboard's driver CD. PowerDVD simply reads your files upon inserting your CD. You can simply close it, then add your music
files to your preferred music player.

Also, you can try changing the default apps by file type to set which opens which. To do so, kindly follow these steps:

• Go to Settings>Apps>Default apps>Choose default apps by file type.
• Scroll down to find .3gp, .mp4, mpeg, .mpe, .mpe, and
  .divx, then set their Default app to PowerDVD.
• Scroll down to find .mp3 and set its Default app to
  Winamp.

Windows 10 deleted my PowerDVD software NOT HAPPY!!!!!!

Most likely your previous version of PowerDVD was not compatible with Windows 10 Anniversary build.

If you have registered with Cyberlink PowerDVD contact them to update to the later PowerDvd version 16.
